CHECK 01
Describe the new-car requirement
State whether the customer needs unregistered status, a production period or another documented condition. Ask which records establish the requested status. Low mileage and showroom presentation do not answer all of those questions.
The year guide separates production and registration. Broad coverage across years does not promise that earlier configurations remain available new. Actual availability needs confirmation when a suitable offer is prepared.
CHECK 02
Agree the pre-delivery review
Specify present-condition checks covering body, cabin controls, warnings, tyres, keys and agreed accessories. Storage and handling can matter before customer use. Identify any preparation promised and the evidence of completion.
Keep essential equipment and steering-position requirements with the request. New-car status does not by itself establish the exact trim or destination suitability. Resolve important specification gaps before accepting a substitute.
CHECK 03
Build the used vehicle’s file
Request declared mileage, available registration and service history, disclosures and a vehicle-specific inspection. Missing records should remain visible instead of becoming a clean-history assumption. Keep repair findings distinct from current outstanding concerns.
The inspection guide explains how to connect evidence to one car. If several units share an order, retain individual records; one inspected example cannot describe the condition of the entire batch.
CHECK 04
Compare preparation on equal terms
Place inspection, preparation, accessories and delivery scope beside the amount quoted. A lower price may exclude work included elsewhere. Identify open findings and who is responsible for resolving them.
Use the quote review when both conditions are acceptable. Maintain the same essential equipment requirements, but preserve the different status and history checks for new and used alternatives.
Ask the seller to disclose any demonstration use, registration or storage history relevant to the buyer’s definition. Retain the response with the vehicle reference. A later document check should confirm the description rather than relying entirely on the condition selected in an advertisement.
CHECK 05
Example: either condition is acceptable
A customer is flexible on new or used but requires a defined configuration and clear documentation. Prepare separate acceptance criteria for each condition, then ask for evidence on the actual candidates. If an earlier GS3 is proposed, assess its own records rather than relying on a current EMZOOM presentation. The result is a comparison of real offers with visible limitations.
Model context: GS3 Yingsu in China and GS3 EMZOOM in Malaysia. Specifications and market programmes are not interchangeable; confirm the actual offered vehicle.
Make the next request specific.
Send the condition, accepted years and version, destination and quantity. Include the items that must be confirmed before you accept a candidate. A sourcing enquiry begins the discussion; availability and purchase terms require an actual offer.
