Keep the original designation
Retain the Chinese vehicle description where applicable, together with its English explanation. GAC Motor’s China page uses GS3 Yingsu, while the Malaysian product presentation uses GS3 EMZOOM. Treat these as naming context, not proof that every market has identical versions.
Ask for the actual production information and vehicle reference. Earlier GS3 offers deserve their own source records rather than being described entirely with newer EMZOOM material. The equipment guide helps connect a name to visible and documented features.
CHECK 02
Separate production from registration
Record manufacturing information and first registration separately. A late registration does not turn an older configuration into the newest update. If a candidate is described by model year, ask which market’s model-year convention the seller is using.
For a new-car request, clarify the documentary status required. For used vehicles, retain history and inspection evidence. The condition guide explains why those checks remain necessary regardless of how recent the vehicle appears.
CHECK 03
Check steering position and specification
State the required steering position explicitly in an international enquiry. An overseas reference photograph can show a right-hand-drive cabin even when the request concerns a China-sourced vehicle. A picture used to illustrate the model should not silently determine the order specification.
Check engine, transmission and essential equipment against the particular car. Retain the original description where a translated technical label is ambiguous. Do not assume that a brochure from another destination establishes the offered configuration.
CHECK 04
Review every substituted vehicle
When a replacement is proposed, compare the production, market, steering position and equipment again. The same model name does not preserve an earlier inspection result or guarantee that the buyer’s essential functions remain present.
The quotation guide keeps changes beside price and scope. Maintain a dated comparison for each unit so a batch order does not conceal differences behind a shared GS3 description.

Example: an EMZOOM enquiry
A customer requests an EMZOOM but sends a photograph of a specific overseas trim. Record the required styling and functions, then ask for the offered vehicle’s original designation and steering position. Confirm the essential items individually. This allows relevant alternatives to be discussed without presenting the reference photograph as evidence that a China-sourced car has exactly the same specification.
Model context: GS3 Yingsu in China and GS3 EMZOOM in Malaysia. Specifications and market programmes are not interchangeable; confirm the actual offered vehicle.
